I got a call from a fellow soccer mom, “Did I do funeral flowers?” And so here is my first floral for a passed beloved. I was on my morning walk with a friend and heard about the disappointing creation that had been made for his mom’s casket; stems not properly trimmed, cheapest flowers possible and then thrown together. And so I was moved to treat this job specially. The dogwood at the flower market that morning was just beautiful and it inspired the whole. I felt so happy as I found complimentary flowers in the same deep coral hue and paired them with a family of creamy whites. Choosing flowers for this occasion was like no other, I didn’t want somber but they couldn’t be too cheerful... I got there in the end, arranging the display with love and Andrea Bocelli singing in the background!

Henri. You are doing such great work. I love this funeral story and I'm so happy for you with the Filoli development. I'm curious what you'll do.
